1940's vintage Fred Davis Large Silver S-curve pin brooch with Obsidian cabochon

Condition: Minor wear to the obsidian cabochon - it is very secure in the bezel; silver in very good condition with a slight patina

Obsidian is glass formed from volcanic eruptions, and is native to Mexico. This cabochon has a very interesting shimmer when light hits it. The design of the pin is exudes Fred Davis's classic Art Deco motifs.
