1950's vintage Antonio Pineda Silver, Jadeite, and Pearl "Heart" Necklace

Dimensions - 18" interior circumference; heart is 1-1/4" l x 2" w; rectangular links are 3/4" long x 3/32" wide; 29.2 grams

Stone Dimensions - White pearl is 3/16" dia.; green jadeite heart is 3/4" long x 3/4" w

Marks - Antonio Taxco crown, Hecho en Mexico, 970, 17 eagle; all marks are on the clasp

Condition - excellent condition for its age with a nice warm patina. The jadeite and pearl show no wear

The translucent jadeite is carved into a voluptuous heart shape that is suspended from a hand made rectangular bar link silver chain. The heart shape is reinforced with the flying silver outline pieces.

It's just the sort of romantic interpretation you'd expect from Antonio. I've always liked the spikes at the bottom of the heart; love, yes, but not without its barbed moments!
