Pedro Castillo Sterling Silver Bracelet

Pedro Castillo started his career with Spratling in the 1930's. He also worked for Hector Aguilar starting around 1939, and he also designed jewelry for Rafael Melendez. He started working on his own in the 1940's. This bracelet bears many of his own motifs. His work often has conjoined or overlapping pieces which give it a very nice visual complexity. I really like this bracelet because it has an almost Art Nouveau feel - it's a very original design with strong roots from the earlier Taxco masters.
