1940's vintage William Spratling Silver and amethyst "Arrow" pin

Dimensions: 3-1/8" long x 3/4" wide; 16.2 grams

Stone Dimensions: center amethyst 3/8" dia.; end amethyst is 1/4" dia; both stones are in good shape with no chips or surface wear

Marks: WS print circle (WS in the center with Spratling Made in Mexico along the outer circle); Spratling Silver inside the oval stamp

Condition: great condition for its age; the pin closure is in fine working order; silver has a nice patina

This pin is from Spratling's first design phase. The ancient Mexican inspired pattern is hand chased on the surface. This pin was originally produced in all silver; the stones were an addition on later production pieces.
