William Spratling Silver Cholula Cuff Bracelet

This striking cuff bracelet is from Spratling's first design phase. It's a solid and substantial piece of silver. The chiseled and chased surface detail is strong and well defined. The added ball ornament is all intact. It has the added curiosity of the soldered label on the back, correct for the early 1940's period when his workshop was making this piece. But underneath, you can barely make out an earlier mark which dates it from around 1938. So, I'd say this is a very early example of this design.
