1940's vintage William Spratling Solid Sterling Silver Ring

Dimensions: size 10 ring; 1-1/16" overall dia.; tapers from 7/16" width at the top to 3/16" at the bottom; 19.55 grams

Marks: WS print circle, (very worn); Spratling Silver stamp

Condition: Very good for its age; it's got a great patina

This is a substantial solid silver ring from Spratling's first design phase. The finger hole is slightly offset in the shape so there is more silver at the top than the bottom. It's a very elegant form, with a wonderful aged finish.
